6. Application Screening

Our Recruitment Consultants will initially screen your application to ensure you meet our eligibility criteria with the Medical Council of New Zealand as well as the requirements for the position you have applied for. They will also review the following:

  • Whether you have completed all our questions and have uploaded a CV
  • Whether you have a complete application as per the requirements
  • Which Medical Council of New Zealand pathway you would require for registration
  • How well your experience, knowledge, skills and abilities matches that of the advertised position
  • Country of residency
  • Intended length of stay in New Zealand
  • Your career intentions

Next step?

Once the consultant has confirmed your eligibility to apply for the position, you will receive an email letting you know that you application will be considered shortly.  This will be passed on to the Vocational Training Committee or Specialty panel for their review.  We will also progress to Reference Collection.
