9. Offer / Acceptance

If you are successful you will be emailed an offer of employment, this is your employment contract.

Our offers of employment are subject to the terms and conditions of the NZRDA MECA (District Health Boards NZ Resident Doctors' Association Collective Agreement). This governs the employment of House Officers, Senior House Officers, Dental House Officers and Registrars within New Zealand. Often referred to as the MECA, the agreement is available for download here.

You have seven days within which you will need to accept or decline our offer.

If there is anything on the offer of employment which you believe is incorrect please inform your Recruitment Consultant immediately.

Accepting

To accept our offer of employment please sign sign the contract in the appropriate places and tick the required check boxes. At the same time you also need to download and complete your registration application documents. Complete as much as you are able to (relevant sections). In addition you must complete and return your Starter Documents.

What to return:

• Scanned signed offer (signed, scanned and returned by email or fax)
• Your completed Medical Council of New Zealand registration forms if applicable
• Your starter documents

Return all these to your Recruiter via email ideally.

Following receipt of your acceptance we will email you the next steps of the process.

Declining

If you choose to decline our offer, please let us know via email within the seven day period as required.

Next step?

If you require registration with Medical Council the process continues to Applying for Registration.

If you are already registered with Medical Council but require a change to your visa, you will continue to Applying for a Visa.

If you are already registered with Medical Council and are eligible to work in New Zealand you will continue to Arrival Onwards.
