When we recruit
In the Auckland region we complete most of our recruitment for the upcoming training year during the Annual Recruitment Cycle. Applications are open from April to May every year, with interviews taking place in June. These are for positions starting in November/December of that year and for February/June/August starts of the following year. We also recruit all year around for vacancies as they arise. National timelines for the Annual Recruitment Cycle are as below.
Training Years in New Zealand
In New Zealand, training years run from November to November for House Officers and Senior House Officers and from December to December for Registrars.
2019/20 Training Year
The 2019/20 training year for House Officers runs from November 2019 until November 2020, and for Registrars December 2019 to December 2020.
