Basic Training Medicine Registrars.

Basic Training Medicine Registrars - hear from one of our own Regisrars.

The Auckland region covers a large geographical area with a diverse range of cultures. During your 3 years as a Basic Trainee you will have exposure to a broad and comprehensive range of clinical presentations and subspecialties that can be further developed during a subsequent Advanced Training program. As a New Zealand trainee of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) you will benefit from reimbursements for your training related expenses.

By joining the Auckland Region as a Medicine Registrar, you enter a programme with rotations through world-renowned teaching hospitals - North Shore, Waitakere, Auckland City and Middlemore Hospitals, all of which are accredited training sites. You will have the opportunity to work alongside our passionate and knowledgeable senior clinicians who will provide you with supervision and mentorship.

We provide a comprehensive teaching programme designed to help trainees complete their physician exams and expand their core medical knowledge. Other learning opportunities include Grand Rounds, Journal Clubs and bedside teaching.
